Title: 5D's Yu-Gi-Oh (Volume 2)
Author: Shonenjump Manga
Pages: 1-200
Week: 04/20/14
Prompt: Do you like what you’re reading? Why or why not?
This book has many different and amazing parts to it. It is not separated by chapters thought it is separated by different duels. These duels are fought with special cards the cards can have monsters, spells , and trap cards. These cards come to life and fight each other will there masters the duel runners use there motorcycles to drive around a course. The duel runners are many different people from many different cultures but they meet up at one single place to see who is the best at what they do. They are the generals of there army. They fight each others with there monsters, spells ,and trap cards who ever is left standing by the end of there duels is the winner.
Overall I like what I am reading for three main reasons. One this book is full of action there is always a fight going on somewhere in the book. In the beginning the main character Yusei Fudo fights a man named Greiger they both entered the contest because who ever wins goes against the ruling champion Jake Atlas. They both have there sights set on having a rematch versus him. The game is all set on who ever brings the enemy to zero life points, destroys there duel runner, or passes the finish line first. In this duel against each other the winner ends up being Yusei Fudo because of all his synchro cards(Synchro cards- More than one card put together to form a different more powerful card).
Second I like this book because of how it escapes reality and goes into a virtual world. I like this because in the book it kind of goes into the future. With all of there motorcycle they aren't like the ones we have know there more techie and silver(we all know silver is future). Lastly I like this book because of the drama in it. In the book when Yusei was about to die his girlfriend Akiza used her psych
powers to throw the biker off of his bike.
