The Monstrumologist

Book: The Monstrumologist
Author:Rick Yancey
Pages:22-70
Week:2/20/14
Prompt How have your feelings changed as you’ve been reading?

The Monstrumologist so far is a great book. In the beginning of the book the Monstrumologist found an Anthropologist. An Anthropologist is a monster with no head and its mouth in its stomach. They were said to be extinct but I just recently found out that they are not extinct in North America. They are coming expanding, growing in numbers. Now the Monstumologist and Will Henry ar in a fight to move them back.

What I have found out from were I left of. Is that the Anthropologist had a baby the way they have a baby is way different then how humans have it. They find a victim and then they basically throw up in there victims mouth. After they do that they go and find another victim till they die but for each victim they have. The Anthropologist feeds on his victim until the baby ends up hatching.

The Monstrumologist and Will Henry found a little baby anthropologist in its victims stomach. Immediately the doctor killed the little anthropologist in a slow painful death. They put it in ajar with a poison in it and as the Anthropologist drowned. The Monsturmologist stood up late didn't
sleep and didn't eat until he finished finding a way to kill the Anthropologist. Now Will Henry and the Monstrumologists plan is in motion.

Life of a blogger and benefits

Over the year my blogging has improved way more then I thought. It has talked more about the book and explained what is going on in the book. My blogging has all so improved in word choose. I am no longer using the words of a sixth grader. I am even trying new words out and see if they fit with the story. One of the blogs I believe I have mostly improved on was "The Monstrumologist". I believe I improved on this blog he most because with this blog I had the book Write at my side with a dictionary.

Blogging has also improved my everyday life language. Now when I use a word like bad or good it doesn't seem natural. It has helped me in class to understand words more in depth. I encourage people to blog more often because it has helped me in everyday life and I hope it will help you.Over all blogging is an interesting experience.

The Monstrumologist

Title: The Monstrumologist
Author:Rick Yancey
Week:2/13/14
Pages: 0-22
Prompt:Thinking about what you just read, draw the picture that appears in your mind.

"A cross between Mary Shelley and Stephen King." - VOYA
"Yancey takes the violence of Darren Shan's 'Cirque du Freak' to thrilling new level in this sophisticated tale"- School Library Journal

This book so far is a thrilling, mysterious and creepy book. The Anthropophagus are coming back from extinction. The Anthropophagus is a monster that has no head and its mouth is near its stomach. It was said to be extinct in North America till one day an old man with a straw hat came to a house owned by the monstrumologist and his assistant Will Henry. What the old man brought was pure horror an Anthropophagus in North America. They are in the race to kill all of them before they multiply.

Will Henry and the monstrumologist are way different people from what I have found out so far. The monstrumologist is a very strict and hardworking person he is always trying to find new monsters and protect people from it. Will Henry from my insight I first thought he was a zombie brought back from the grave. Later I learned that he was taken by the monstrumologist after his parents died

"A cup of coffee is all you need"

All the land belongs to you, a brick house and a little yard .We see her peacefully dead in her bed need to cry for years , a cup of coffe is everything.

My found poetry is basically about you having something that will let you let go of everything and forget it. In this poem the comfort item as some might call it is coffee. Its says that when someone dies the next day you have to live with it for the rest of your life, so have a cup of coffee.

By: Michael O. Tunnell
Mr.Halvorson (berlin wall veteran )         German Boy ( lived during the berlin wall)

The Berlin wall inspired me
It gave me a lovable gift

It gave people hope

I saw the children from up above

I saw the children running to get it

I dropped them in many places

We looked high and low

Did you get hurt

yes

But we were Free

Did they ask you to switch sides

yes but we valued freedom
But would have starved

luckily you came
Chocolate

Was it delicious
yes very delicious
how about the parachute

they were fun to play with

The berlin wall wasn't such a tragedy after all

Title: Candy Bomber: The Story of the Berlin Airlift's "Chocolate Pilot"
Author: Michael O. Tunnell
Date- 2/4/14
Pages: 1-100
Prompt: Summarize what you just read.

This book is set in the time right after World War II. Its May 12, 1949 people are starving dying. Germany was split in to two west Germany went to Russia and south Germany went to the allies which includes the United States, France, and Great Britain. The Allies wanted a piece of the capitol of Germany(Berlin) though so Russia split it up the same way as Germany. Russia got the west and the allies split the north side of Berlin. Later Russia wanted to have all of Berlin but Russia didn't want to brake the treaty . They devised a plan to block the city so no trucks or ships could get through to west Berlin. The people of west Berlin where starving even more there was no more food or water getting to Berlin.

Russia offered the people of West Berlin to leave the allies and let the Russians take care of them.  They refused the offer because they valued freedom more than food. The allies found a way to get to Berlin. They started to send cargo planes wit hall the necessary items. There was one man named Gail S. Halvorsen he wanted to go sight seeing around Berlin but he would be able to go when he flew the cargo plane. He needed to go at a different time so he planned his tour but when he got there he was early for the tour and had to wait. During his wait he saw some shildren by the fence and watching the planes land. He was about to leave and then he felt two sticks of gum in his pocket and gave them the gum and told them to share. Nobody fought for the gum the people that stuck there hand out first ate it ,but they pasted the wrapper around for everyone to smell. Those sticks of gum inspired him. Little did he know that idea would change Berlin.

He told the children in German to watch the sky because when he came on his plane he wood drop something. The asked him how would they now which was him. "I will wiggle my wings when I come by" he said in German. When he passed by on his plane he dropped a parachute with a chocolate bar at the end. The children were so happy and Mr. Halverson became the chocolate pilot. Every time he passed berlin he would drop more and more candies. He will live in Berlins heart forever.
