Day 8- It's been one week and a day since my parents have left me and went to another of there Mayan Excavation sites. Right after they have said he were going to go to Italy with Grandma. Now that I think about it I think my parents care more about work then there own child. Since they left I have had nothing to do I've went to school, talk to my friend on vacation online, and put my hair in spikes. If I was in Italy I would be paroling in the plaza with my cousins. Why Haven't they sent a letter or an email? I know they said it might take a while but this long.

Day 9 - Okay something weird is going on I don't smell the usual smell of a cooked breakfast down stairs were Zia. Okay I am going to go check it out. Okay I get down stairs and there is a cold cereal and a plane ticket to San Xavier. That's where my parents are at digging is there something wrong? I call for Zia and she's in the kitchen sitting down and talking to these little clay figures. I ask here what the tickets to San Xavier are for and she tells me " They told me to buy it for you , You go" and I don't think she was talking about my parents. I don't know where I am staying but most likely with my uncle Ted. I don't know what's going on! Going to go to the Airport.

Day 10 - I have just got of the plane now what? (few hours later) I am on a bus ride everyone seems to know Uncle Ted. There weirdest thing happened after I got of the plane and was about to start writing. I find a ticket sending me to the plaza which supposedly close to my Uncles Banana Farm. I wonder where does he live and if my parents are there? From what I have heard my Uncle is friendly but what will I do over there ?( 4:00 pm)Every thing is so wearied there are no people at the plaza. It's Deserted. While I was on the bus ride this old man to me a story of Diego De Landa. "Diego De Landa was the curse of the Maya. He tortured us , he burned our books, he told the world we where savages."

Prompt:How did the reading make you feel? Why?

After reading I felt many different emotions one of them was sympathy  Sympathy for the way they lived for how they couldn't make there own children affected me drastically . I felt like they couldn't connect. When I once read a book that told me that if they have been together long enough or are connected by blood the other person could feel it. Maybe even feel that something was wrong. Second the way they live with out color made me think that with out color there isn't really a point to things with out a sound. Lastly was how they never heard music. This affected me drastically because music makes you feel different emotions it can make you happy or sad depends how it sounds.

Second emotion I felt after reading was frustration.  I felt frustration because of two reasons one was because of how they couldn't have dreams. This made me mad because why would they want to stop dreams. Dreams keep you alive and make you believe that you can do what ever you want. with Dreams you fly higher than anybody else. Second thing that mad me frustrated was that they were being controlled basically  This was very important in the book because with out them controlling the pople there would never be a giver.

Over all after reading the book it made me think of what if I lived there or what if there wasn't any music or color in my life. I dont think if I found out about elsewhere I would want to live in the Giver's world. It made me appreciate the sounds of my dog when he barks or even the color of barf because with out that I would never be in the place I am right now. I would never feel disgust or love for anyone.

picture of the image you have from this story. What do you usually see when
reading a story?

What I usually see when I'm reading any book. First I start with who is talking and what scene they could be in. I do this because the scene is a very important part in a book or in a movie. Second I think of there facial features and there expression that is portrayed in that page or chapter. Facial features and expression are a crucial part in books it tells you if  wether there mad or sad. Third I look at what extra stuff could be there like a chair or table. This is important because props can help you find out whats the scene and what there expressions are. Lastly I look at color. Color is very important it helps you find out what feeling it gives you.

From the book The Giver I saw many things. One the house to me looked silver and modern house not to big but not to small. All the houses would look the same on the sides of the street would be bikes and bike racks but no chains.  Second the sky would be clear blue with puffy clouds even when it rained the clouds would still be white. Third everyone would have a happy face but not that they wanted a happy face they had to have it. I imagined a dome like in the movie hunger games the game dome.That the elders changed if they wanted to. If they wanted trees they would put some like gods.

Prompt- How have your feelings changed as you’ve been reading?

In the beginning I thought the book was going to be boring. One reason I thought it was going to be boring was because of the cover. The cover has a girl on the swing and that kind of made me think that it was going to be about a teenager being bullied in a playground. Second I thought the book was going to be boring because of the title. The title effected me drastically when I saw the title I though about thirteen reasons why I stopped being the person I use to be. Lastly when I saw the book all together I thought that she was getting bullied and then she sat on a swing in the playground. Then she changed her mind and decided she wasn't going to let them bully her anymore.

In the first ten pages I new I was wrong. One reason I new I was wrong was because in the beginning It started out with a tape's and the tape's said 1 all the way to 13. Then I knew it was not going to be boring. That it was going to be a suspens full book. Second reason I new I was wrong was when she started the tape. Then the person recording the tape said that the 13 tapes represented people and what they did to help in the death of a girl.

Over all my feelings about the book changed a lot after reading the first 12 pages. I have learned not to judge a book by its cover. When people told me that I always told them it does because if it looks good most likely it will be good.  If it looks bad it most likely is bad.  In most cases it is true for the books I puck but now I know to give every book a chance.

This book is about a game that can cause you to die. The scene that I selected from the book is when they roll the dice and while its rolling his luck leaves his body. It lands on death and the master of the game with the wand makes him go fight in the war as his punishment. For losing the game. His punishment is basically to die or be excluded. 

The wand and the hand in the comic strip represents the power of the player from the book. The dice with the skulls represent the death that the game can cause. It can also represent the loses of the players. The glow coming from the hand is the chance he has of winning leaving his body. All together it means the lose of him if he loses.

Prompt: Does the title fit the story? Why or why not?title

The title of the story fits great. One the title fits good because of the number 13. The number 13 fits the title good because there are thirteen people . These thirteen people are said to have helped in a friends death. They have to see a tape and hear what they did wrong. Then pass it on to the next number.

Second the title fits because it talks about the reasons why she killed her self. This person sent a tapes so they could hear what they did. Some of the people they sent the tapes to didn't even talk to her. For some reason they helped in her death.

Third the title just fits the story well. Lastly the why is because it tells you why she killed her self. What the people did to make that happen. Thw why tells you why those people made her feel so bad that she wanted to kill herself.

Question 1: What made you want to create this book?

I would ask this question because the book is about the circus and the people in the circus. I was wondering why would you write about mostly every person in the circus. Also how they think about there job. He thoroughly explains what the staff and people in the circus look at. 

Question 2: Why the circus?

I would ask this question because I think it would make more sense in the zoo. I think this because it talks about many animals that would be in a zoo but not in a circus. One of the animals that they have that made it kinda weird is that they had a giraffe. I have never hear of a giraffe in the circus.

Question 3: Why that title?

I would ask this question because so far the title doesn't make sense. The book is about the circus and the people that are in the circus. Nothing has gotten on fire. There is nothing that talks about different worlds or the worlds of other people.

If you were a character in this book, who would you be? Why?

If I were to pick any character in the book I would pick sadie. Even though she is a girl I would still like to be her for many reasons. One is because she gots really amazing powers .She may not understand how she uses them but when she uses them she uses them correctly. The amazing powers she has gets stronger when she does them with her brother. Which basically tells you to stick with your siblings because they help you in every thing even if you far apart.

Second I would like to be Sadie because she's confident whit what ever she does. She's always confident that its the right thing to do . Sometimes she's wrong but she doesn't let being wrong get to her like other people. Other people get sad with what ever happens in there life that they made wrong. Then theres sadie who still is confident to the page in the book.

Third reason why I would be sadie is because she's strong and courageous . She's never afraid unless its a god but if its a god ties still not afraid to fight it . She's strong emotionally to she didn't go into a ball and cry when her dad died. She acted and did something about it. Lastly she never stops fighting she always wants to get into the action and fight with magic.

Create a ‘WANTED’ poster for the antagonist.

Galactus 

Galactus is a wanted criminal all over the known galaxies. He is wanted for eating, because he eats planets. He gots an a partner in crime silver surfer. Silver surfer is trying to stop Galactus from eating planets that have living things on them.  Till Galactus tells him " I'm hungry now"! Silver Surfer had to look fast the first planet he came upon was Earth. Silver surfer new he should leave fast but at that moment Galactus traveled to Silver surfer.  Thats when the trouble starts stirring.

When Galactus gets to Earth. Silver Surfer uses his teleporting powers. To go tell the greatest super heros of all time that Galactus was coming. Everyone in the world new that he was coming by when he got there. He told them they had 72 hours to evacuate the planet before he devours the planet. Everyone but the super heros were getting. They were going to try and think of a plan to stop Galactus. They have three main plans that might stop him.

Are the characters realistic (do they seem like they could be read people)? Why

Scorpion god 

Some of the characters can be realistic because there are some that are gods and some that are normal people up until the day there life changes. I think some of them can be real because there normal but they use magic. Like the girl she is a normal girl that lives in england until her dad and brother come. Then his dad takes them to a museum and sets free some evil gods free. Then thats when her life changes.

Second the boy can be real to because he doesn't have any super power. He doesn't even do magic the only thing he does is now about egypt. He can tell you anything you want to know about egypt. You can sy that a super power but basically he is a normal boy.  Last one is bane the girl god of cats she can be real because if some one grows there nails they can be like bane. There is just two things that cant be real one she can talk to cats. Second she can make a bigger person to fight for her.

There are some that cant be real like the gods . One because they can shape shift. Second because they cant be seen by normal people. Third because they can summon what ever they want. This is why some can be real and some cant.

The lady and the tiger ending

Her decision had been indicated in an instant , but it had been made after days and nights of anguished deliberation. She had asked her father the semi-barbaric king if she could have a word with the Youth before he opened the door. The Semi- Barbaric king had thought of this so as the youth looked at his daughter. His voice so sharp and frightening he said “Youth, you may have ‘till I have finished my drink to talk to my daughter”. The crowd was surprised you could see there faced perplexed. Never in his whole time ruling has he gave time to anyone to think of what they've done. The Semi-Barbaric princess stepped into a chamber and the youth follow. As they walked thorough the empty hallway they could hear the sound of the perplexed crowd. The footsteps on the damp floor made the moment even more awkward than it already was. When they got to the end of the hallway there was a door. When the princess opened and closed the door she turned around and hugged the youth so tight she was going to choke him. The youth said it was okay that just tell him the door she wanted him to open. Instead she told him that the right one was the tiger and the left one was the beautiful maiden . Little did he know that the left one was the tiger and the right one was the beautiful maiden because she switched it around. If he picks the beautiful maiden he didn't love her so he gets the tiger.

When the semi-barbaric princess went to sit by the side of her father and the youth went in-front of the door. The crowd got suddenly silent even the birds stopped chirping all of the kings people sat waiting in anxiety to see which door he picked. The princess was wondering if he loved her or not and when he picked the left one she new he would rather be with a beautiful maiden then a semi-barbaric princess. When they looked in each others eye right before the tiger pounce he said I knew the plan.

Does the title fit the story? Why or why not?

I think the title Red Pyramid does fit the story. The first part of the title Red fits the story well. The first part of the title fits well because red is the color of blood. In the pages of the book that I have read it says that 3 animals died trying to save there masters Carter and Sadie. Carter is a kid that was with his dad since he was little because his mother died in an accident. Carters super power so far is that he knows a lot about egyptian history. His sister Sadie has been with her grandmother most of her life and her super power is that she can do egyptian magic. 

Another reason why Red fits is because in the book there is a god that wants to cause a sandstorm that will kill a lot of people. The gods name is Set The god of chaos and storms. There are more gods in the book that are trying to cause chaos and blood shed. Red also stands for there red blood that is flowing through there veins is egyptian blood. This goes together because there ancestors were really powerful sorcerers .

The second part of the title Pyramid fits the title well because pyramids are from egypt. Since it is from egypt it goes with the story because what sadie and carter are getting taught about to fight the evil gods. Pyramids alos go with the story because they are a mystery. Know body knows who built them and how they built it. Just like Sadie and Carter dont know how there mom died.

My Favorite Book of All Time

    One of my favorite book of all time is Point Blank the second book of the Storm breaker series. This is one of my favorite books of all time because its about a spy kid. That is trying to find out what is going on in the point blank academy. In this book the kid uses a lot of gadgets to find out whats going on. He becomes a spy because his spy uncle died and he had to take over his place. Then he becomes a spy and they use him to go and spy on people because he is a kid and they wont guess he is a spy.

   This is one of my favorite books of all time because it grabs the reader. It makes you feel like you are the spy. I also like this book because it is an action book and it stays like that through out the book. This book is set in an academy for boys in the middle of nowhere.
