Prompt: What message or lesson was conveyed.

Hello readers todays book that I am writing to talk about is The extraordinary adventure of Ordinary Boy / The Hero Revealed By: William Boniface. This book is an extraordinary book there are so many things that you learn and talk about in this book. Some of them are school related, life related, and even dream related. There are three main things I have learned through out the book. One of them is that its okay to be ordinary. In this book there is this town called Superopolis in Superopolis there is a whole bunch of heroes . Everyone that is born there is born with a certain power. It can be a good power like being able to with stand anything(The Amazing Indestructo - AI) or you can have a really bad superpower like your head being shaped like a Melon (Melon Head). In Superopolis nobody is normal except Ordinary Boy. Ordinary Boy doesn't have any super power but he wishes he did and through out the whole book he learns that being normal is the best super power he could have. In the end ordinary boy finds out its better to have no power and be powerless than to have a power and depend on that and nothing else.

The second thing I learned through out this book is that never give up on your dream. I learned this throughout the book in so many ways. Ordinary boy and his friends had a dream that one day they would have all the superhero cards and that they would save someone once in there life. In this book they are given one clue "rocks". All of Ordinary boys teammates didn't know because most of the people in Superopolis are dumb they never listen in class and have never learned anything part of the fact is that they have superpowers. Ordinary boy is the only one with some kind of knowledge (later in the book you find out he is really smart) so Ordinary boy finds the places and they don't find any till the last one where they have one out of three cards to complete the set. Near the end of the book they get there first mission and that is to stop doctor brain drain (superpower- steal brain power) from covering the town in use to be rare cards.

Lastly the thing I learned is about companies and how they make so much money. In the book there is this guy with a super power to make money. What he does is promote a really cool thing that the kids will be attracted to on everything that is sell able. He tells everyone that there is a limited edition little do the people know is that by limited he means 1 of each or less. He has the only copies in his office. In the book they say that there is a limited amount of doctor brain drain cards(the cards they needed to complete the set). There are actually three till a man named the multiplier make a lot of these cards and sells them. Just to have more money. Overall this book was great it has so much action and adventure, but its more of a kids book.

If you have successfully completed the challenge or are about to, how did you make this happen?

The forty book challenge is basically having to read 40 books in about a year of school. I am about have way through the forty book challenge (26/40). I believe like in the beginning of the forty book challenge I was ready for it ,one month and I was 6 books in. After that month ended I felt like I stopped reading so much I wasn't so engaged anymore. Near the end which is really close I noticed I have started reading more. Through out this experience i found out that reading is actually really fun if you have nothing to do. I feel like I will read more during the summer than last summer. I think I have done all of this by pure will if I didn't have the will to do this then I would probably have just read for my blogger.

Based on your 6th grade year, how would you rate what you have read this year?

Based on my 6th grade year I feel like I have improved a lot. In my 6ht grade year I feel like I didn't read, I didn't feel like reading. Then my teacher pushed me and showed me about so many good books. Until I started checking them out I wouldn't feel like reading or even open a work unless it was for school. What i have read this year is way different then what I would read last year. Last year I would rate what I read a 5/10 and now 9/10. Over this year I have tried different genres all because of the 40 book challenge.

Consider the amount of books you have read, as well as the caliber of the text.

The amount of books I have read this year is pretty decent. I could have went more if i would have put more effort this year. I have next year to work on the 40 book challenge. I think we should keep the forty book challenge but to have a prize at the end for the people that made it ,like a pizza party. This would make more people try and strive for it because
they would want to eat pizza (good pizza) with there friends.

What are your thoughts about the 40 Book Challenge going in to 8th grade?
